All a matter of opinion. The first Dead Space was a true survival horror game. Great atmosphere and perfect pacing.
The second one was a trigger fest. Go in this room, blast 50 necromorphs. Go in the next room, blast 50 more. Rinse, repeat. There was no variety at all.
Didn't even bother checking for the third.
I agree with you on the bolded, but IMHO:
DS2 wasn't a trigger fest. It might have been a bridge to the trigger fest that is Dead Space 3 in some ways, but I think it kept the atmosphere pretty damn well.
Remember returning to the Ishimura?
I also played through and beat Hardcore. That mode
really amped up the survival horror aspects.
Not knockin ya tho...like you said, difference of opinion.
