Shifting the DBs, LBs & DLs have been the same in Madden & ncaa since 14 at least. Hold left on on the pad

Been playing this a lot. This commentary be breaking my heart 
I would say that this been enjoyable against the CPU which is surprising considering it is an EA game. The only issue I have is CPU QB play.

What's pissing me off is the psychic CPU D seems to be back after the latest patch. I'll look at previous play art and it'll show them in say a cover 3. Meanwhile before I have even handed the ball off 7 players on D are rushing the line. Got CPU DBs running routes out ahead of receivers. CPU defenders perfectly positioned to cut off every route. Thought I was being too predictable with playcalling so went deep in the playbook and called plays I've never used and same thing. On every play at least one of my linemen will focus on one guy, then immediately switch to someone else leaving the original defender with a free run into the backfield or at my QB. On every 3rd or 4th down and short run at least 1 or 2 of my OL get pancaked by the defender and I have no shot at even getting close to the first down.
Going to give sliders a shot and if those don't make things better will likely put it down until a patch drops. This is all on All-American default.
EDIT: I've completely given up on playing D. Robo QBs are back. They dumb down human defenders and have random guys slow up or break their zone for no reason. My defenders don't break on the ball until the offense has already caught the ball meanwhile as soon as my QB begins to load up to pass the CPU defender is already breaking on the ball exactly where they're throwing it. I was watching a friend play and he counted off the CPU defender taking three steps towards his WR in the time that it took for him to windup and throw the ball.

I play online unfortunately and there’s just no way I’m this bad compared to last year. 20-36 shyt feels like all the bad shyt only happens to me dropping open passes or the receivers not trying to catch period. L1 not registering after I identify the Mike I can’t change my blocking shyt is ass. I’ll add extra blockers and nothing they’ll let whoever come thru don’t matter what school.

I barely play my PS5. The last game I played was last years version of this game. Since I don’t have much time to play the game, I don’t even get online, just start a dynasty and play against the CPU. I got this years version and did the same thing and the game is way better to me and I notice a lot of improvements gameplay wise. I play on Heisman too. CPU is still the CPU but they not as overpowerd as they were last year and them higher rated teams not impossible to beat.

I can say in those two running plays, you have to check your blocking. Just hold R2 and hold the right stick right and it will show blocking assignments. On a lot of plays you will have a guard pulling or whatever the term is. Where they loop around to the outside and go block the second level or someone that’s not in front of them.
Or sometimes you will see that a linebacker is unblocked if you check the blocking. You need to shift someone or audible to get better matchups. Or you can change the blocking assignments if you know how the online works with that slide or half slide shyt.
If you just run every run play without checking your blocking you not really gonna know where your blockers moving.
Thats not to say the game is perfect or complaints not valid, but sometimes it’s actually the user and the game is working as it should

They gotta tone down this home field advantage shyt cause why is my star QB rattled and my icons missing the first play of the game. Whole offense is cold and we haven't even touched the field
