Yeah, this will affect everyone, not just xb1 users.

EA stays on their bullshyt. First Origin, now this. I fukking hate them.

If I have to use this box to play BF5, I'm done with them and I'm not playing that shyt.

Holy shyt i didnt even think of that EA could make Battlefield and other games exclusiv, Comcast money is way bigger than microsofts money but then again... i think they rather see it on all systems than just one. the revenue is too great.

I don't know if you are a PC gamer, but EA is notorious for taking their ball and running away with it.

We would have to see the infrastructure on this X1 game box, the install base, the game, how many people would buy it. microsoft would probably get into bidding wars over exclusives...

i primarily game on console i heard origin is shyt compared to steam...

EA would be foolish to make BF5 an exclusive to the X1, but look what they did with Origin. I hate that shyt, but I use it cuz I have to for BF and TitanFall.

I hate EA. You can't underestimate their greed. With this box they wouldn't have to pay anybody for any rights to use a system. Plus they'd be caking on the box itself. I don't put anything past them.

Hopefully it won't come to that though. Hopefully everything will remain multi-platform. I just don't trust EA one bit

i dont trust EA either after that whole mass effect 3 ending bullshyt. yeah i know it supposedly wasnt them it was hudson but still...

comcast got ridiculous amount of money $157.77B. i dont think EA would turn it down if only for comcast to screw other sony, microsoft. and comcast just brought time warner. im sure they will do something there too.

you really think microsoft is gonna reinvest in their gaming division. im already hearing alot of hard rumors they want to sell it off. But comcast has an edge over microsoft... They own tv stations, cable, tv networks, advertising, ad revenue streams, corporate contracts in alot of media... Yeah Msft has more money, $327.84B. but are they willing to shell out the money?

No company in America would shell out the kind of money necessary to do that. But in the long run, that type of investment isn't fruitful or necessary for a company like microsoft, nor do I believe comcast will be a real threat to anyone in terms of the console business because of how regulated the communications industry is.
