Yeah it might be hard to turn it into a loot box style game. It doesn’t lend itself to that style.

No but that has more to do with the fact that they weren't made on PC and came out before the digital release era.
I say remake because while there are other games in the series Vol 2 is the definitive game. Use that as the blueprint to make a modern NBA Street.Remake

Eh. I think V3 is just as good, they both are good as each other for very different reasons.
A lot of people prefer Vol 2 as a jump in jump out game but V3 has a better singleplayer.
Nostalgia. shyt was fun but by the end nobody was checking for them.
