at the nostalgia of them ESPN 2K games. 
the quality of the games from 2K at that point. Not saying it's gone to shyt since then but the games where so much better than any of their competitors.

I knew the end was near the second I saw this picture from Live 13 on top of Operation Sports homepage.
EA and hoops is done. Elite didn't work, this didn't work and NBA Jam has under performed (the 1st NBA was a failure) and Turmel left the project (shouldn't have sold to them anyway).
I don't have any sympathy for EA Sports and as a company they should be humiliated. Horrible business practices, poor leadership and horrible customer service.
