Lmao at that dumb nikka @The Phoenix arguing in here about EA’s exclusivity model not being their motivating factor just for EA to drop out or the project altogether because they couldn't secure exclusive rights :mjlol: Consistently stupid

What are you, 12? You just figured out how business works? Shareholders want what they want. I argue in favor of devs and then devs get overruled in these things all the time. It's the reason the gaming industry is the way it is. But not matter what the devs do, you'll always be a dikk riding faggit.

fukk the shareholders in my iron sheik voice

in 2025 with more than 30 years advanced in the field, we shouldnt even need to buy 2 separate games
the college basketball experience should be bundled with 2k and be a precursor to the actual game with the crowd function and different atmosphere
2k been ass for almost a decade, I dont wanna hear about "business" the problem is fans control profit and keep buying and accepting bullshyt. There's so much of the game outside of the court that they never incorporate from actual home court advantage to hecklers etc... them using one game to help the other would only benefit everyone but of course they will cash grab and make generic watered down 2k version that doesnt even align with the actual skill level with the jump between leagues

fukk both EA and 2k :pacspit:

This is the actual correct answer here. Brehs in here pointing and laughing at EA 'bout to learn the hard way that 2K is probably about to shyt on them just as hard.

Obviously none of us know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the licensing pitch to the schools wasn't built around using inclusion in NBA 2K as a runway to conditioning the user base to 2K style monetization fukkery if/when they launch the college game as a standalone product.

But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if 2K's ultimate end goal isn't just eventually Fortniting this shyt, and turning 2K into its own pseudo platform where everything lives, while still expecting the most dedicated players to drop $130 annually as the cost of entry.
