TYRONE GA!
Get your paper Ed. NCAA trying to pass the buck now since we know they were getting money directly off these deals.

Now that EA just has to go through the CLC, the price should be cheaper and although we prob won't get official conference names possibly and shyt, we'll still get the schools....:yeshrug:

if you are old enough to remember COACH K basketball. you would know. that everyone knew who the O'bannon bro's were on that team. we knew who toby bailey was. tyus edney, etc.

we knew Joe Smith from maryland. etc, etc, etc.

you could EASILY tell all of the best players. if i'm not mistaken they may have even had the same number as their real life counterparts.

So Ed O and them have something to sue over.ncaa as usual trying to get over on the players.
Now they gotta sue the CLC. What a swindle.

we have our answer

Brett McMurphy of ESPN is reporting ESPN has been told EA Sports will still have a college football video game beyond 2014, next year's game will be called College Football 15.

The Collegiate Licensing Company was founded in 1981 by Bill Battle after he signed legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant to a licensing agreement. In the process of developing a licensing program for Coach Bryant, Battle discovered that The University of Alabama did not have a licensing program. Alabama soon signed on as CLC’s first university client. Eight other schools quickly followed, and an industry was born.

Update on EA Sports and College Football - EA News

By now, most fans will have heard that EA's licensing agreement with the NCAA is set to expire and that we have agreed to part ways. I'm sure gamers are wondering what this means.

This is simple: EA SPORTS will continue to develop and publish college football games, but we will no longer include the NCAA names and marks. Our relationship with the Collegiate Licensing Company is strong and we are already working on a new game for next generation consoles which will launch next year and feature the college teams, leagues and all the innovation fans expect from EA SPORTS.

We took big creative strides with this year's college game and you’ll see much more in the future. We love college football and look forward to making more games for our fans.

I guess theoretically they could, but today made one thing very clear from the info I read: 2K is out of the football business. They're clearly done on the NFL side, and there wasn't even an sliver of thought from ppl in the know that they would have anything to do with NCAA games.
