EA to 2K Sports on NFL rivalry ‘Come at me bro!’
In a recent interview, Rex dikkson from EA Sports
openly challenges 2K Sports to make an NFL game. He practically cuts a pro wrestling promo as if the staff of Madden 15 will face the 2K team at Wrestlemania or something like that.
When asked about 2K potentially making an NFL game again, dikkson had this to say:
I’m really glad you asked that question. You know, we’ve got a lot of former football players on the team. Competition is a big deal for us. We like to compete. We like to be challenged. So I’ll say it right now. I would love for 2K to make a football game. Go ahead and make a football game. Come at me bro! Let’s see what you got. Invest that money, buy that license. Let’s go head to head. You vs Madden, let’s get it on. I don’t care when and I don’t care where. Let’s have it out. 2K vs Madden, c’mon 2K! Make a game! Bring it!
Some really strong and bold words from dikkson that I’m sure EA Sports isn’t too happy about. It isn’t clear right now if EA has the exclusive rights to make NFL games with their new deal. There has been speculation that maybe the NFL could allow other companies to make a game but nothing has ever come of those rumors.
Maybe one day we will see NFL Football from 2K make its return. You’ve got to wonder if Take Two or 2K will fire back with any public comments about this statement from EA Sports, even if they never announce another football game of their own.
