i'm just gonna enjoy some Eagles football this season. It's gonna be nice not stressing over our astronomical expectations

This is what it boils down to, ultimately.

Nobody expects us to do anything anyway, so this team should be playing loose and with confidence.

I hadn't heard too much about the Momah signing, though....that's huge. We FINALLY got a red zone receiver, 'bout damn time. Amazing how Kelly understood that before he ever coached a game, but Andy Reid couldn't recognize it in a damn dacade and a half.

I WILL say this, though...I DON'T like the Barkley pick.

Now we have two “option” QBs (Vick/Dixon) and two “pocket” QBs (Foles/Barkley).

So it begs the question…what IS this offense going to be about?

Also, they’re trying to run a play every ten seconds or so….if the offense isn’t clicking, you’re going to tire out your defense really fast that way.

Too many questions right now. That QB situation makes me think, Hmmm....has Howie got some type of agreement with Chip that, if his "gimmick offense" fails to work (like, if it's clear it's ineffective, within the first month or so), he has to resort to a pocket system?....and that's why they're keeping Foles and Barkley, as "insurance"?

I do like the other picks, especially the tight end from Stanford.

We need to take a safety or a CB next.

We didn't need Denard Robinson, either, IMO.

I'm not questioning any draft picks they make this year. This is his first year & we should have an open mind. I think the people grumbling does so because of Andy Reid is still in our mind until we actually step out on the field.

in the press conference (that chip is having on philadelphiaeagles.com after every pick) he said we are going to run 2 and 3 te sets. we are basically going to be like NE. we have pass catching TEs so if teams throw out linebackers to cover them we can pass easy and if they throw out DBs we got an advantage in the run game, that was his basic premise.
