2 of his top 3 receivers were RBs and his deep throws were toss ups to Bowe. It's not that Alex got better. It's that Bowe bailed out his shytty deep throws. Desean ain't Bowe. He's fast and small. He doesn't do jump balls. He'd be rendered useless on their team.

Didn't say Alex got better, all I was saying is that when pressed to throw the deep ball he did it adequately in relation to other players in the league. He has an average arm, oddly enough his completion percentage on throws over 20 yards was about the same in San Fran (Harbaugh years) either way his pass completion is actually in the upper tier, lol. Not saying is good at it but because I'm sure once you get to the 30-40 mark it declines sharply if you want to extrapolate. Plus he only makes those throws as a last resort, he usually goes for the checkdown as a safety valve ala the RB. But in short he can make the throws well enough where he can keep opposing defenses a little honest.

the video refuted the myth that alex cannot throw deep or past 20 yards because of his arm, which is clearly false. Id say alex smith arm is easily better than ponder, gabbert, schaub, cassel and bradford. but yes, its below average if we're comparing it to other starters

I think his arm is more than fine to make 95% of throws you need to make. if he could hit those deep throws consistently hed be a top 10 qb at this point.

whats ironic is that schaub has a weaker arm than smith at this point but people have no problems of desean going to raiders

This was really the only point I was trying to make. Alex Smith is a professional QB who can make most of the NFL throws, is he a game breaker, no and I actually think that Jackson would be a good compliment in KC offense, he is a great YAC guy and if you can utilize him in slants and bubble screens, he can be a great addition. Trust me Fat Andy would make it work.
