I think Detroit looked at themselves in the mirror and asked "can we really go on the road in the playoffs and beat the Rams or Saints ?". Better to be realistic than not.

I heard two teams, one being the Eagles, were offering a 2nd. If Jerry had addressed the skill positions in the off-season he wouldn't have had to give up anything.

Na he’s 30 and on the last year of his contract. He would essentially be a 1 year rental cuz he’s gonna want top WR money. I’m ok with rocking with who we got right now cuz our offense is capable of putting up 30+ on anybody. I would rather wait until the offseason to make any major moves that don’t require us parting ways with valuable draft capital

Gollady has emerged as the lions #1 wr and Jones is clear #2. He’s over 30 and wants a big deal. I loved Tate as a lion but he has lost a step and has dropped quite few passes this year.

And Patricia and Quinn come from NE. They don’t overpay for aging vets
