is there such a thing as a ringing in your ear thats too high(frequency) to actually hear, you just feel it?

Im seeing alot of youth with hearing issues these days and Im wondering how much of it has to do with headphone culture. Too many people putting these devices on their ears, blaring noise for hours, and not realizing there will be long term effects.

It’s called tinitus breh,I got it from working on cars with no ear protection
Doesn’t really bother me, I drown it out with the sound of my humidifier or A/C
My right ear was ringing non stop for a solid week last month, I was getting paranoid
It just stopped and hasn’t done it again - it’s called tinnitus when that happens btw

thanks for the replies. let me emphasize that im not actually hearing anything. you know that phenomenon when you're somewhere deadly silent and your mind manufactures a noise, i guess to fill the void or whatever. completely goes away the instant a sound occurs - i experience that even when it isnt quiet. the shyt just doesn't stop
Do you suffer from anxiety and is afraid of being alone ?

Its called tinnitus. Was paranoid about it. Think I have a mild form of it(or probably not it at all). Aint that bad. Stopped listening to music loud and gave away my headphones.
