Its easy to forget that Future was in rut to start the decade and bounced back with I never liked you.


The early 2020's was dominated by Opp rap. This was was one of the most street and rugged eras in rap music history. Sliding, walking down and stepping on nikkas dominated song topics

This was also the peak for new Michigan rap (Icewear vizzo, 42 dugg). Even Jacksonville sound made it big.

Unfortunately there was too much death and jail time for up and comers in this era( Pop Smoke, Kodak sat in Jail, MO3

I was bumping his stuff heavy during the peak pandemic.


As far as Gunna goes, I didn’t really start bumping him until Wunna.
