yo lemme tell you forreal... im not a stan in anyway... destiny is the funnest game ive played in years hands down... and its is by FAR my favorite game of this generation... its not even close!!

Yea I have similar criticisms, I just feel like they aren't very big gripes.
To me the areas seem to be 4 to 5 times the square footage of a regular Halo level.
I can't prove it though, I don't have any of my Halo games any more, nor do I care enough.
But I have beaten every Halo campaign except Reach and I don't remember any areas on this square footage scale.
I could be wrong though
I just think people were expecting Open World big style free roam, when it's slightly more individualized than that.
Like if you could only explore one island at a time in GTA San Andreas.

The majority of people do not understand the premise of this game. They just heard all about the hype and became frontrunners. Because a lot of ppl are complaining about things that were already known before release. I saw a vid of slobbering mouth hard8 crying about the grind and not having MP unlocked It was known since the beta that PVP was unlocked since level 5. Plus, this is the first major release MMO on consoles. People dont know how to react

MP doesn't unlocked until you reach level 5
Zelda wasn't year one.
And Xbox got Forza, Titanfall, Destiny, and Sunset Overdrive year one.
Regardless of initial disappointment Destiny and Titanfall will be huge genre/generation defining franchises and we got both year one. Forza is arguably Xbox's biggest franchise and we got 2 titles year one.
I had a 64 at launch and there's much more compelling content on X1.
I was kinda hyped for this game up until I played the Beta. I was sooooooo bored. What really got me though, and again, I can only speak for the Beta, was that the three character classes seemed to have very little about them that was different. I know it's not an MMO. But they did go for an MMO feel whether they want to admit it or not. I was hoping that each class would have unique skills that would turn the tide of the battle in a unique way depending on how your party was setup. I mean, if you are going to have classes, that is usually why you have them. Otherwise, just omit classes and let people choose the weapon they want and what kind of double jump ability they prefer and call it a day. Everyone, no matter the class just ends up shooting every thing and occasionally that bout of shooting is interrupted by a knife throw or grenade or something similar. I cancelled my pre-order and I think I'll stick with that course of action.

This is the age of everyone complaining about something and it's not changing. It's alot easier to get hits and draw attention when you are snarky/negative and go against the grain. shyt is getting beyond corny and wack, but it is what it is.
