It basically boils down to one question.

Is loot and co-op fukkery enough to keep you playing the same areas over and over again?

If yes then buy it, if not then the game is not for you
Yeah co-op fukkery isn't for me. I loved borderlands for the loot and the story. I didn't care so much for the co-op. I'm more of a solo type player that needs a story. I guess I'm passing most likely

Yes, that is how you make judgements on a game if nobody around you has it. I am not just dropping $60 because bungie is behind it.

Game just never looked all that to me, but I may give it a spin when it drops to $20 or so.
What's wrong with the videos shown and impressions given in the Official Thread? Not negative enough for you?

I am not really sure your angle here, I just stated that I am taking all user reviews into account. From what I have seen from Destiny doesn't seem to like my type of game.

You know considering that this game isn't even an exclusive and there is a split like this is not a good sign.

I'm addressing what I think is causing alot of the bad press this game is getting and it's mostly xbox users like yourself. Yall really acting like some scorned bytches when it comes to this game. Boxden gaming section validates what I'm saying.

So Xbox owners are causing eurogamer to feel the game is empty?

Don't know what boxden is and really don't give a fukk, but the criticisms in this thread are valid and have absolutely nothing to do with a console preference.

Have you played the game? Do you agree/disagree with the criticisms?

If you want to see scorned bytches check out any titanfall thread. :camby:

I feel exactly the same way. I played and loved borderlands solo. Destiny is aiming for a totally different crowd.

unless those shyts are on teh first page ain no one trying to wade through 40 pages of adulation to get a impression b
What do you think people are talking about on every page of the thread though? The game and their experiences.

People ask questions and get answers there too from people that actually have the game b.

i dropped in there to see some impressions or w/e a day ago to see if its worth copping and got nothing but circle jerking about how great it was with no actual input and nikkas talking about co-op, hardly someting you can base a blind purchase off of.

It's fair to say that we haven't been blown away by it yet.
Leon and I spent a lot of yesterday playing Destiny, like pretty much everyone else with an interest in video games. I've done about six or seven hours, up to nearly level 9, and Leon's done rather more (he's at level 11). We've done a mix of PvP Crucible man-shooting and PvE alien-shooting, some together, some with different friends.

We're still very much in the early game, then, but we thought we'd have a chat about our first-day impressions of Destiny. The short version is that we're both having fun, but neither of us is mega-impressed, and there are a few fundamental things that give us pause about the long-term appeal of the game.
