Rent it then. I cannot tell you enough how many times I read previews or watched videos of Destiny gameplay and thought to myself "Ehh not really my type of game.." and then when I actually PLAYED the game it's like a switch went off. Reviews and impressions aren't really helpful in this case. It's either you like it or not. Taking user reviews from metacritic seriously for a game of this type of nonsense. Reviews can't tell you how intense the devil's lair is with a party of two with crazy ass music playing with a swarm of fallen enemies and hive knights getting in yo shyt. At that part of the game we was just straight up "playing" the game. It was all laughs, screams and excitement. If you're looking for some Bioshock Infinite heavy narrative driven experience, go look elsewhere.
How many of those "reviewers" within the first few hours of it coming online, leveled up to 20, got light armor, maxed that out, did all the missions, strikes, and raid already?? 0s and 1s?? Dog, even if you dont' like this type of game, I couldn't take someone say giving it anything below a 7. It's mind boggling reading the nonsense online about this game. Like I can't.
Point is, you can't "review" something relative like "fun". Not to say they're aren't any valid complaints for the game but what I tend to notice is people exaggerate or focus in on these little "issues" if you call em that and magnify it while also de-emphasizing how good everything else is.

I didn't like Borderlands when it dropped, so I was skeptical on this game when I first saw it. But the beta sold me on it, but I'm a big PVP player. If you're into competitive multiplayer modes in FPS games this game is for you. If you're big fan of Borderlands you'll like the co-op.
It's different from most FPS because of the customization options and the social aspect of the game. You really have to squad up to beat some missions, and a lot of times your Fireteam leads into multiplayer matches. The game really blends both modes well IMO, I'm enjoying it, but again I'm in to shooters like that.
meh probably gonna pass, doesn't feel like its much of a deviation from the tried and true fps formula. they need to make mass effect mmorpg, that would be fire.
Everytime I criticize TF for being shallow or lacking in content, you come caping saying the opposite. And Destiny story wise is not even comparable to TF. There actually is a story if you follow the missions/read the grim cards online. I still don't even know the factions in TF
What FPS games are you bundling this in with though? Cause it's pretty different from most IMO.
How can someone compare a game like Titanfall who's "campaign" is essentially PVP but with the voice overs just talking some other shyt instead of the usual "Your TItan is ready" vs Destiny that actually has different enemy encounters, amazing soundtracks that play to certain encounters, bosses, loot and whatnot scattered about???

LOL I would fill up three pages with your post if I typed Meachthemonster and titanfall in the search box. There is no true backstory to TF. LOL@if I search for it. You can go right on Bungie's website and get the backstory and more details.
I think there's just a vocal minority making Xbox players look scorned. I think it's some of the Halo "purists" or those felt "betrayed" by Bungie in the sense. I can guarantee you those same characters would've been singing a different song had Destiny been an Xbox exclusive.
Nah never played....I'm like so really lost when it comes to this game...the hype is huge
i guess borderlands. only one I've played in the past few years. I generally steer clear of them. they are boring to me.

You forget I was the main one praising Destiny every since the reveal at the playstation confrence. I also was the one defending it against purists like @AkaDemiK
Didn't have anything negative to say until AFTER I played the beta.
Conversely you and @Rekkapryde wouldn't be going so hard for this game if it wasn't so strongly affiliated with the playstation brand and if y'all had anything else to look forward to on PS4.
