early NWA/dr dre demos?

was wondering if anyone had any cool rarely heard/bootleg stuff from the pre-SOC days. krazy dee said the original 'panic zone' was called 'hispanic zone' and i kinda wanna hear it, lol. if i have my NWA history correct, MC Ren didnt join until Arabian Prince left, right? he got put on because he helped write Eazy's LP right??

N.W.A. released "Panic Zone / Dope Man / 8-Ball" in 1987 on Macola Records, included in the compilation "N.W.A. And The Posse". The group was still in its developing stages as they were credited only on four of the eleven tracks, notably the uncharacteristic electro-hop record "Panic Zone," "8-Ball", and the underground smash "Dopeman," which marked the first collaboration of The Arabian Prince, D.J. Yella, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube. Hispanic rapper Krazy Dee co-wrote "Panic Zone," which was initially called "Hispanic Zone," but the title was later changed when Dr. Dre advised Krazy-Dee that the word "Hispanic" would hinder sales. Also included was Eazy-E 's solo track "Boyz-n-the Hood."

i keep seeing references to a self-titled "NWA" ep, which im starting to assume is just the panic zone/dopeman single?





im assuming they must've never actually recorded the 'hispanic zone' demo?

Ren and Arabian Prince are both on the SOC cover together, so there was some overlap for sure, but Prince was on his way out the door while they made the album.

I haven't heard any demos, Dre has always said he slapped it together in 6 weeks, so there might not really be anything.

I'm pretty sure Krazy Dee has a few unheard tracks. Lonzo does too. Unlikely that most people will get to hear them though. Private collectors will have stuff but they won't be sharing them.

Most of what was recorded was released. There's a few OG versions around, this being one of them but the full song isn't public.

i always thought that storytelling was cubes strength. even the above song has a narrative. boyz, 8ball, gangsta fairytale, good day, theyre all stories
