Dodger Stadium was lit. I am completely hoarse from cheering. The crowd was like a volcano waiting to erupt and that 7th inning was when the magma started to spew. This is turning out to be a great series.
As far as that slide...it was a little extra'd out but it gave the Dodgers the extra push to take over the game. On the other hand I understand what Mets fans are saying because I would be pissed if he did it to my team. I didn't quite realize how pissed people were outside of LA until I got home; on the Dodgers radio show they were calling it a normal baseball play and when you're at the game things are a little different than watching it on TV.
What's important for the Mets now is to focus on winning the next game and not just getting back at Utley. He did that at least partially to get in their heads and in that sense it worked; Chris Hatcher went out the next inning and retired the side quickly, something he's rarely able to do against an offense as potent as the Mets'.
Looking forward to Game 3.
