I want to see what the coli thinks

when did the EC get so bad ?

why does it continue to be bad?

and if some of the best players go west like some wanted would it not weaken the east even more?

What would be you plan to eevn the playing feild?

Injuries. especially this year.

Had teams been healthy you would've seen a drastically different conference

healthy bulls - 55-60 wins
healthy cavs (lebron missed 2 weeks they went 1-9) - 55-60 wins
healthy pacers - 50-55 wins
Healthy head + dragic trade - 48-52 wins
hawks = 55-60 wins
wizards - 47-51 wins

You would've had 6 teams winning 50 games had they been healthy.

I feel you but where would those 50 wins come from? for all those teams

- Philly & New York are blatantly tanking
- Orlando has talent but they need a good coach in the worst way
- Pistons were starting to put it together before Jennings got hurt
- Brooklyn is incompetent and will be terrible for years to come
- Charlotte is incompetent
- Indiana's record is down because of injuries.
- The Celtics are on the rise
- Miami might have had the worst luck with injuries of any team this season. Bosh out for the season, McRoberts out for the season, Wade & Deng have also missed a good amount of time wit injuries. We never got to see what a healthy Heat team could've looked like this year.
- As far as the Bucks, they lost Jabari for the season, Sanders quit, despite that they still got off to a great start but they've been significantly worse since the Knight/MCW trade. It might work out in the long term, but in the short term it's been awful and I won't be shocked at all if they fall out of the playoffs.
- Wizards & Raptors got off to hot starts, but have declined as the season went on.
- With Chicago it's the same story as every year.

THIS

For it to be going on this long....management is the main thing to blame

Just bad GM work
That some of the blame but i put it on bad drafting the west seem to understand that stock piling draft picks is the way to go you might find a stud in the draft ....the the GM's cannot be that bad compared to the west GM's

Does it really matter? :yeshrug:

Its not like they are a different league or something, stop looking at it by conference and just look at the NBA as a whole.

It will balance itself out over time. Teams like the Celtics, Pacers, and Heat will be good next year. Washington and Toronto should get better and if Orlando finds a decent coach they could make some noise. Detroit and Charlotte are in NBA purgatory and teams like the Bucks are on the rise.

The west is loaded with prime talent and eventually the talent in the east will start to develop.

The West is still eating off the late 90's drafting. Last time they a produced a championship team that didn't have Kobe, Duncan or Dirk on it was 95. Even in the last 16 seasons, the only team to come out of the West that didn't have one of those 3 players was the 2012 Thunder.

I'm pretty curious to see what happens when they're all gone. Obviously they have teams now that don't have them that are doing great, but as it stands none of them have won anything
