this is a historically bad eastern conference... nobody outside of raptors fans could really think they had a chance against the cavs... and thats the same thing for the other 6 playoff teams in the east

end this conference shyt and make the playoffs top 16 :damn:

The east is worst than the AFC in the 80's and 90's chew on that for a minute

Ya'll told me the Raptors and Heat could have upset the Cavs. :laff:

The entire season ya'll were talking about how Cleveland looked "vulnerable" and wouldn't come out of the East. Now what? About to go into Game 2 of the ECF and still haven't lost a game. :dead:

:mjlol: fukk outta here

Shaq & Penny's Magic
Patrick Ewing and the Knicks
Alonzo/Hardaway & the Heat
Reggie + Pacers
Blaylock/Mutombo/Smith - Hawks
Grant Hill + Pistons
etc
Outside of the short lived Shaq and Penny, those teams aren't worth the folklore tied to them.

They're only talked about because they orbited planet Jordan.

Ya'll do realize 9 of those 16 teams would be Eastern Conference teams right????:dead:

The Bulls and Wizards would of both been playoff teams in the West and the Bulls would be among those 16 teams

this severely hurts LeBron's legacy, even though its not his fault.

Kobe going to 3 straight finals in the West > LeBron 6 straight in the crappy East

No one will care 20-30 years from now. See Showtime Lakers.

the whole idea that the East got much improved just isnt true

Detriot and Indy arent very good, and Toronto is a terrible 2 seed

doesnt help Chicago and Washinton took bad step backs (Milwaukee kind of too, but I think they ll be better next year)

Its just one very good team and the rest

The East did get better though. We just didn't get that team that could step up to LeBron

The H2H record against the West was significantly better than it had been in previous years, we had teams miss the playoffs with winning records for the first time in nearly 20 years, the Wizards for example were the 10th seed this year at 41-41 when that would've been good enough for the 6th seed last season. shyt if we took the top 16 teams record-wise in the playoffs this year, there would've been more East squads than West.

So yeah the conference did improve, but there's still a ways to go before it can become competitive top to bottom

Lol
Warriors win big and they're amazing.
Cavs win big and the east is trash.

Even if the east isn't as tough as the west, can the Cavs get some fukkin credit for doing what they're supposed to?
Ain't nobody knockin' the Cavs. They've been favored to come out the East since Bron came back home.. but cot damn. This is more about the Eastern teams drafting, developing players, and acquiring free agents. Sh*t has been non existent for years now. Philly better make good on all this good fortune tanking sh*t in a couple of years :francis:

short lived? 1992-1995 is short lived?

ok, which era u wanna talk about
1980s? with Larry and the Celtics, Isiah and the Pistons, Barkley, etc
1996-1998? Knicks, Pacers, Hawks, Heat, etc.

folklore? the Pacers took the Bulls to 7 games and were up 14 in the 4th
The Knicks were up 2-0 on the Bulls in the 93' ECF
The Magic beat the Bulls in 95'

this is one of the most asinine arguments I've ever heard actually.
