Outside of the Magic, those teams weren't good. None could even beat the 80s Mavs, Bucks or Jazz.
Playing the Bulls hard doesn't make you a team worth talking about 20 years later.

In an era where Mark Price was an All-NBA 1st team guard, yeah
Yep, they would![]()
Hey now buddy..Mark Price was no joke.
You're naming names. The poster that you're talking to is simply out of his mind.
The East back in the 90s was far more competitive. It isn't even close.
Jordan went up against...the Knicks
Ewing, Starks, Mason, Charles Oakley, Derek harper etc
The Pacers
Mark Jackson, Dale Davis, Antonio Davis, Rik Smits and Reggie Miller
Orlando
Shaq, Penny, Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott, Scott Skiles
Charlotte Hornets with
Zo, Larry Johnson, Mugsy Bogues, Kendall Gill, Dell Curry etc etc
the Hawks with
D Wilkins, Steve Smith, Mookie Blaylock, Stacey Augman, Kevin Willis etc etc
On any given year in the early -mid 90s that was the rotation of competition in the East...It aint even close
Any one of those teams back then could win the East in this day and age..

Outside of the Pacers and Magic i'm not wrongYou a casual breh!
.
.The 80s mavs? Fam stick to football![]()
They took the Showtime Lakers 7 games in 1988 WCF. That team was definitely legit. My point is the games should be getting better as you go along. I want the best teams matching up as the playoffs progress. And the Cavs would've still swept the first two rounds. Nobody in the league can compete with those 4 teams.
Did you just diss the 80s Mavs? The 80s mavs? Fam stick to football![]()

Lie to me right now and tell me the 90s Knicks played good basketball.
It's like the same story in every NBA season in the east coast. Injuries of key players prevented many teams to compete with a squad like the Cavs. Toronto could have put up a better challenge if Val was playing. The Bulls have the depth but too many of their players were hurt and didn't make it to the playoffs, and the Heat lost Whiteside and Bosh. If all three of those teams were healthy, Cleveland would have experience a greater resistance to the NBA finals.Cavs haven't even broken a sweat yet this postseason![]()
Most of them arent "great"...great was for a chosen few...like MJ, Reggie Miller. D Wilkins, Shaq and Penny ..and very good with Larry Johnson, Alonzo Morning, Patrick Ewing, Rik Smits....defensive beasts like Antonio Davis, Dale Davis, Charles Oakley or Anthony Mason and Ssolid PG's with hardaway, Blaylock Mark Jackson, Derek Harper, Mugsy and a few others...you're insane if you don't think that that competition is tougher. You're naming names.
As if Derrick Harper best years weren't on a BETTER 80s MAVS than the Knicks he played on.
You said John Starks as if he's an NBA great.
You said the Davis boys as if they were low block killers. Niqqa....Sidney Greene in the &0s was a better low post player than them.
Horner and Magic didn't play together long enough to be "great" teams.
Stop individual playing calling thinking you've names great teams. None of those teams could even beat Roy Tarpley, Young D Harp, Rolando Blackman, Mark Aguire 80s Mavs.
