You just are not getting the point. Sure they are competitive amongst each other. By the gap between them and the cavs is Gulf of Mexico wide. Look at the #2 seed right now. They look like they don't even belong on the floor. Wasn't like that in the 90s.
That doesn't mean the rest of the teams are bad. Cavs are just that good. They have an all time great leading the team, and two all stars (arguable superstars)in their prime. Out of the main 10 man rotation 8 or 9 of them can hit a consistent 3. And they are peaking at just the right moment. They'd be shytting on the west teams just as bad.

Meanwhile, GS is the clear favorite but they had the most competitive series against a team projected to be a lottery pick this year. They just lost home court advantage. The gap between them and other squads isn't as big as the Cavs and the rest of the heat. Cavs are not rolling over OKC, SA, etc the way they are destroying the Hawks
GS rolled over those guys all year with little resistance. Even the Spurs and OKC. And the Spurs rolled over everybody not named GS.

You can't make the argument that the cavs dominating teams means the teams are weak, but then not apply that same logic to the west.

Why are people in here making hypothetical match ups between now and the 90s? Of course a team like today's Hawks would win over 90s team. Game is much faster, advanced, etc. Just like all aspects of life whether it be tech or food production. The point is, the east in the 90sbwas much more competitive. Don't get me wrong. Bulls were always favorites to come out. But it wasn't this shyt like now where you knew by mid Dec the cavs were going to blast by the playoffs. Back then, you knew a squad like the Knicks or pacers were going to show up against the Bulls no matter what. It would be a competitive, hard fought, quality series that would last at least 6-7 games. Can't say the same if a like the Hawks or Raps played Cle

Bulls ran through the east (and the league for that matter) multiple times. Stop it :mjlol:. It's hilarious how people are trying to spin other teams not being competitive with you into a negative reflection on you :dead:. We didn't know the Bulls were gonna beast during the season? :comeon: Everybody had the Cavs looking like this during midseason? :usure:

Another point is. Everybody including me expected GS to whoop all on OKC just like they did all season.

And nobody would have been surprised if this was the outcome of the GS vs OKC game.

And nobody would have been talking about how weak the west is had they done it.

Everybody would be talking about how great GS is and posting highlights of Steph hitting 3s

Yall just hear a narrative and run with it:smh:

East is very competitive other than the Cavs.

More so than the west this year. Warriors had a much easier road to the finals going by regular season records.

Cavs are just playing by far the best basketball in the league right now, they'd be rolling over the west teams just as easy

:mjlol:

Of course the east is competitive when excluding the cavs because it's shyt vs shyt

Going by regular season records out west for the playoffs ?

:russ:

fukk outta here

The thunder or spurs for that matter is better then any team LeBron has faced in the east during his NBA finals run

Check the records. The teams GS has faced so far have worse records than the teams the cavs have faced.

And Cavs playing like they are now would be shytting on OKC or the Spurs right now.

It's all the shytty teams in the west that made the Spurs and Warriors look better than they are.

I don't give a fukk about regular season records

Take the 10 best players in the NBA

9 reside in the west

Name one team that LeBron has played in the east throughout his finals runs that are better then the spurs or thunder

Spurs were the best team in the league during a lot of that time. OKC ain't won shyt.

None of that has anything to do with THIS YEAR which is what we are talking about. That "east is weak" narrative is old news.

And your 9 out of top 10 stuff is laughable. I'm not even gonna ask you which players you are talking about.:mjlol:

I'm going by strictly playoffs. Not regular season. This east sucks. True the cavs have a stacked great team. But last year they were curb stomping teams with Lebron, Delimeat, and half a toe nail.

Had GS spanked OKC like everybody was expecting. Nobody could calling the west weak.

"The east sucks" is just a narrative Yall have heard repeated over and over again, now you wanna mold any situation to fit that.

Cavs are playing amazing basketball period.

I don't think anyone expects GS to trash OKC or SA the way the cavs are in the East tho. Like I said, a Portland team with two non defensive midget backcourt and nothing else were pretty competitive with them. The cavs would probably still roll over these teams of one or two of the big three were missing

if the bulls went 2-4 against the western conference (lebron's finals record now) then you can make the argument that the east was weak and the bulls benefitted from it. But they beat everyone east and west disproves that theory.

now the goal post will move to "bu bu bu the entire NBA was watered down"

the bulls faced 2 game 7s in the east and no western team took them to a 7th game.

Yeah right. GS beat OKC bad during the season.

Vegas had them getting spanked.

I didn't hear one person giving OKC the win the other night except OKC fans.

Everybody expected GS to dismantle the west.

Yall can't have both narratives.

Either GS isn't an "all time great" team or the east isn't weak.:aicmon:
