Mike has always said and done everything to prop himself up and try to preserve him spot no matter how absurd it is. Few players have ever been as defensive about their legacy as him. Reality is the only teams they faced from 1991 to 1998 that could have been great were Orlando and Seattle, and both of them imploded after 1996. All the teams they faced in the playoffs from 1991-98 besides them were either entirely too reliant on one star or two, mediocre on defense, had Reggie Miller as their best player, or were from Cleveland, so you know none of them really stood a chance. I mean we look back at the Knicks and jazz as the toughest fights Chicago had and the Jazz cracked 90 points one time in their 12 finals games from 1997-98. The 1993 Knicks had home court advantage, went up 2-0, and held Mike to 39% shooting on the series and still lost in 6. In any other decade the Bulls max out at 4 titles I would estimate. They didn't have birds Celtics or showtime lakers or Doctor J's 76ers. The bad boys were spent by 1991. The magic weren't ready in 1996 and Shaq and Kobe wouldn't be ready until 2000. San Antonio didn't even have a reliable second scorer until Duncan in 1997.

Jordan is actually very humble when it comes to his legacy and ALWAYS gave credit to his competitors.. him giving other teams props for being tough is him trying to preserve his legacy?

some of you have gone so over board with your attempts at bringing down the mythology of Michael Jordan that you'll say anything. and how old are you? how old were you when those 90s playoffs were happening or are you basing your opinions on box scores?

the east was more competitive in the 90s than it has been the last 2-3 years.

nikkas really acting like the east got anything outside of the Cavs... And mainly because Lebron wants all the Superstars or stars in general on his team.

Another cakewalk to the finals and i said it would be before the 2nd round began...

Like i said, the East is a JOKE. The only Superstar is PG13 since Wade is getting old and Bosh probably wont ever come back

However based on this thread for the side that thinks the Hawks and Raptors are strong then the Cavs are already all-time great. Now OKC or GSW maybe better but the Cavs are doing something we haven't seen before. The 15-1 shaq and Kobe lakers weren't this dominant

Not sure it's about lack of heart. I just think it's about a lack of superstars in the east. Shaq, Kobe and Duncan had to go against each other plus CWebb,KG,Dirk, Nash, and Stoudemire
