The top 4 in the West was easily better than the top 4 in the East this season

But 5-15 in the East were also better than 5-15 West hence why people were saying it was deeper

:yeshrug:
If going strictly by records yes those east teams were better. But the western conference win totals were pushed down by having two teams with all-time regular seasons. Have those 5-15 west teams play GS and SA and Thunder 3 or 4 times a year instead of just 2 and their win totals would be a lot lower as well. Not mention teams like Memphis that were killed by injuries and the Clippers dealing with Blake being out half the year. Eastern parity between teams 3-11 artificially raised win totals since somebody has to win all those games they play between each other. That's why using total wins is crazy when deciding who has the better teams when comparing conferences.

Not really

Many of them had better winning percentages against the West than they did against the East. Blazers, Mavs & Rockets for example

By any metric you wanna go by, 5-15 in the East outperformed 5-15 in the West

But the gap between the top 4 in the West & the top 4 in the East was so huge that it didn't even matter

you sure about that laughing? Cavs were not as good as you think. they fed on the leastern conf for wins.

lets take a look at them vs portland. only played twice. barely beat lilard and crew by 5 points. the other game they got blown out.

2015-16 Team Comparison - Portland Trail Blazers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers - National Basketball Association - ESPN

^^check the stats friend

now as far as the clippers you would be correct.
Yes I'm sure about the laughing. Toronto beat Cleveland in their season series 2-1. Detroit beat them 3-1. Look what happened.

Portland would not beat the Cavs 4 out of 7 times.

The Celtics were a superteam themselves.
I would hardly call them a superteam. They had Paul Pierce who was at the sputtering end of his prime and KG, who wasn't near the athlete he had been in Minnesota. Ray Allen was a sharpshooter and little more, with Rondo just stirring the pot. Calling a collection of once great old men a superteam is a bit of a stretch imo.

Age be damned that celtics team was a super team
It takes a lot of talent to go to the finals twice with the same core. Some teams can get hot and get there once but if you make it to the finals twice i dont care what conference you are in thats amazing
