it doesnt say alot about bron. it means if you put 3 allstars on one team you better get to the finals in the SOFT east.

if we replace bron with another eastern allstar thats been there more than once. the cavs would've still made it to the finals. the east is BAD really BAD.

We can agree to disagree. Lebron has made it to the finals with 3 different rosters now. And the statement "if we replace lebron with another eastern all star the Cavs still make it to the finals" is simply not true.

I think a "one and done" style competition will make the playoffs more significant...We already had an 82 game season, we don't need series in the playoffs...

I think teams just choose not to perform on the road...The mentality is "if we get one game, that is cool, but if we lose 2, we can still get them back home"...

If the players knew there were NO second chances, the games would be hard fought and more exciting...

There is ZERO buzz about the NBA Finals except among Basketball fans....Casual fans like me don't give a FCUK...

It is MORE entertaining for me to come to thecoli.com and read all the hilarious post-game commentary...

Let me clarify...This is STRICTLY my opinion...I am not claiming to be an expert...

(1) I believe there are bandwagon fans (people who just want to be part of the hoopla) and casual fans who actually enjoy sports but don't take it seriously...

(2) In any major sports competition there are always bandwagon fans...For example, when the world cup comes around, people in Toronto flood the streets with their foreign flags and such, but as soon as the final game is played, they go back to hockey and they don't bother keeping up with the various major soccer leagues...

Those are the bandwagon fans that bring the ratings up during BIG competitions...They just love all the hoopla and the fact that everybody is talking about it...They are the trend followers...

(3) Casual fans, like myself, actually like sports but are too busy to keep up...For example, I may not watch every game, but I check the scores, and I come to thecoli and read the commentaries...Basically, I keep my fingers on the pulse...I can name some non-super stars that play a particular sport...

(4) I believe for busy professionals like myself, the NBA Finals just doesn't have that spark to make us watch when our team is not in contention...It is a seven game series i.e. the only games that matter are the elimination games...

Plus, basketball is a sport were only 1 quarter matters...The 4th quarter...If you are a casual fan that doesn't care about who got a triple double and all those other stats, the 4th quarter is the only quarter that matters because that is when a GOOD basketball game is lost or won...

Let's be reality, the Eastern Conference is a lot better this year than last year, this is more of an indictment of the NBA's parity in general. LeBron is the best player in the league, it shouldn't be a almost surprise that he has singlehandedly mowed down his own conference the past 5 years. I mean the 2nd best player in that conference is, who Jimmy Butler, Paul George?

They need to redo the divisions. I don't care where you put them, as long as they are in the EAST
Atlantic
Toronto, Boston, New York, Brooklyn, Philadelphia
Central
Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Indiana, Cleveland
Southeast
Washington, Miami, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando

So you would put the Southwest back to four teams and six teams in the Southeast Division by moving New Orleans?

They need to change up the divisions so the travel and scheduling is easier on teams.

Get rid of the southeast and northwest divisions.

Move Utah and possibly Denver* to the pacific division.
Move Mini and Toronto to the central division.
Put Okc and possibly Atlanta and Denver* in the southwest division.
Atlantic division is the same minus Toronto and Atlanta.

Top 16 teams make playoffs

Yall say the East is trash like the every team in the West has been a contender when over the last 20 years its been the Lakers, Spurs and Warriors.

Lakers because of GOAT duo
Spurs because of GOAT coach
GSW because its the greatest superteam of all time.

FOH acting like the West is that much better.

Raps beat every team in the West not named Houston and GS.

They give HOU and GS a hard time too.
