You cant goto jail for stealing a bag of chips. In order for it to classify as felony theft (it differs from state to state) but Im pretty sure it has to be at least worth $500, I think its $1000 in most states (and thats only a class 6 felony). Hell whatever store you steal from wouldnt even prosecute you cause it wouldnt even be worth the money. $1000s in legal proceedings>>>>>>>>>>>a dollar bag of chips.
