how so? the box was dope, had all sort of shyt plus it was fine tuned for your area...i mean that shyt had a whole different selection of videos in east oakland than it did in north oakland where i stayed.


im saying when viacom bought out the box.

they bought it out just to take it off the air and eliminate the competition, replacing it with mtv2.

this was right after they bought BET.

they created a monopoly and killed off the public's voice. then by the end of the year, darn near everything on the airwaves sounded the same or used similar formats.

ok...i read that wrong, thought you said when the box was bRought out. yea, i agree, the box going away definitely homogenized music tv
