I dont know where some of yall getting this whole idea eazy e gotten written off and RCCGs wasnt a hit song. Yea it wasnt as big as dre day but to act like no one heard it except those who bought eazy e tapes is dumb. Eazy e performed that song on In Living Color, one of the biggest sitcoms in the 90s, and also featured it on arsenio hall show. Yall tripping talking about no one fukked with that song and dre day put eazy out :mjlol:
If u wasn't watching In Living Color or Arsenio Hall that night then you missed it
:mjlol:

Seems like it was only in "your circle" that no one knew about Real Gz unless u bought the tape :mjlol:

every nikka around my way knew about it and bumped it just as much as dre day. Obviously Dre Day got more play but to act like Real Gz wasnt known unless u bought the album is :mjlol:

Eazy E and Ruthless Records vs Daz and Deathrow n1ggaz

Daz was hilarious and Layzie Bone was high as hell rambling bout some Tru sh1t :deadrose:

Eazy E had that wise O.G. let the little homies handle it swag

and Daz and Kurupt had that young rider, dont give a fukk attitude... that clash made it radio gold

:gladbron:

:dead:

No need to destroy Tha Dogg Pound like that :mjcry:

We do not see things like these anymore:wow:, the hood rap to the hood :salute:

All true...just thinking back to it....Dre Day was on all day every day like you said....same with that Deep Cover song and Nothin but a G thang...those songs were 24/7 on MTV back then...around the clock on every video show.

I defintely think MTV launched Dre and Snoop's success in the early 90s.

Eazy E and RMFGs got absolutely no air play on MTV tho. I can tell you that I never saw that video once on MTV.

Back then I think I might have seen it on BET Rap City (Joe Claire and Big lez) but it was extremely rare to see.

I remember and all of this was true.

Daz and Kurupt always make for great comedy with their craziness and just saying dumb shyt.

"All them took their dikks out and pissed in Daz's face. Then Daz was walking funny afterwards like he got sodomized"

Daz talking about "have you sold a million records?" when NWA's albums sold millions, and Eazy's EP went platinum, and DPG hadn't even released an album at that point.

As for Real MF G'z, I thought it was a better diss track than fukk With Dre Day, just not as great an overall song as Dre Day. The video hit harder than the song as a diss. As a kid, I got the impression that Eazy E and his crew were more real gangstas than Dre, Dre always looked like a bad actor to me.

But I didn't think it would matter in the long run, as I thought It's On 187um was a good EP, while Chronic and Doggystyle were great albums to me. I didn't know how many rap beefs actually turned physical, and how rap careers could get ended by diss tracks.

I still think there's usually a lot more factors to it anyway when people say "this song ended so and so's career as a top rapper".
