Everybody from Ice T to Jay z be on that I'm not a rapper I'm a hustler sh1t but its not real. All these n1ggas wanted a rap career. They studied the dudes that came before them and then they worked on their craft until they got a deal. Eazy E was da only cat that could truly say I'm not a rapper. They had to beg this dude to get in the booth and then spoon feed him rap lines to say.

Co sign this. This is both a 5 star classic post and thread. :salute:

Eazy-E never wanted the attention that cats like Ice T and Jay-Z did. Cats like Jay-Z and Ice T have used that "I'm Hustler" talk as their selling point but Eazy-E was really just that and only wanted to run his label and promote his artists.

Hey Bugs, what's your favorite Eazy-E album?

To get Snoop Doggy Dogg a bone muthafukka" :russ:

Hilarious

Yeah, I hear that.

I think that album holds up better than Eazy-Duz-It.

I bet if Eazy-E were still here, Ruthless Records would still be bigger than ever. Eazy-E was a business man and he knew how things worked. Even after N.W.A. broke up, Eazy kept the ball rolling with Bone Thugs N Harmony, Above The Law, and Penthouse Players etc.

Not true
50 Cent was hustling fo real
Also other rappers too but less well known

You kinda missing the point, 50 and jay were definitely hustlers, but them nikkas were rappers too. Jay may even have been a "hustler first" (look at his moves, even once he established himself as a rapper) but that nikka is an emcees EMCEE...jay is SKILLED, 50 to a lesser extent is SKILLED.

Even master p not being a great rapper took the time enough to study/bite off other nikkas to make him sound more competent, eazy e didn't give a flying fukk

Me thinks the OP missed the point. The hip hop rappers that ran with that "im not a rapper" steez wasnt talking about oh im out here doing other things i just rap here and there throwing up nothings in the booth. No.

They tryna say, I only rap to make this money. Dont think im a [nas-type, so to say] who cares about and does it for the art. **** that, this is simply a means to earn money.

"im not your average cat,
**** rap,
im tryna make cream and thats that
Whatever it takes and however it gots to go down,
four mics on stage or mother****in four-pound"

and just cause you work on your craft doesnt necessarily make you a rapper. It just makes your arm to make money that much stronger. Jay-Z, epitomizes that to this day IMO. Hes not really out here trying to develop and progress the artform. He's slutting it out as a marketing tool to keep his name relevant, leveraging it to get lucrative business deals.

Are you trying to tell the OP what he meant with the point of this thread? :skip:
