Egos destroyed NWA, not Jerry Heller.

1.Cube left the group to go to school and didn't tour so he didn't get any tour money. Why his check was light. Eazy had a bank account that every member of NWA had access to if they wanted money. Eazy never counted or watched money like that. Cube was pocket watching everyone else's money from putting in 100% while he put in 50% of the work.

2. Dre didn't leave because of money, him and Eazy were next door neighbors both with mansions. Michel'le was ice cubes girl. Then he went to school and she started fukking Dre. Cube came back and found out he was sharing that girl with his big homie and got upset. Dre eventually found out that he was sharing her with Eazy and he got upset and set Eazy up to get out of his contract. Then eventually found out he was sharing her with suge when he got to death row.

3. Bryan Turner the head of priority and the guys office who ice cube smashed up was in Ice Cubes ear because he was the youngest, disgruntled, and easy to manipulate. Reason ice cube smashed up his office in the first place. Dude promised him the world if he left NWA.


Those 3 people broke up NWA. Jerry Heller had nothing to do with it but the executive producers of straight out of Compton were Ice Cube and Dr. Dre so of course they bent the story in their favor. That's why they fired the first script writer and brought in their own guy.

I do remember reading that,figured they didnt like the narrative being told and wanted to change it....Not a fan of Jerry Heller but im willing to listen to anybody other than Cube tell the story cuz its been proven over time he exaggerated alot of what happened in his career and life...

I doubt it. If he cared for the group he would've sacrificed some $$$ and restructured contracts to find some middle ground where everyone can be satisfied. He didn't because NWA was nothing but a pay check to him.

Manager can't save you from yourself. Jerry Heller couldn't make ice cube go on tour or make Dre not fukk his girl while he was gone. Jerry Heller worked for Eazy, not NWA so the only person he was responsible for was Eazy and when things got tough for Eazy, Jerry did what he had to do to keep the lights on at ruthless. He moved money to pay bills and expenses not line his own pocket. He didn't tell Eazy what he was doing and that's where the "stealing money" myth came from.

Outside of bone thugs bad math skills, no one else on ruthless had a money issue or complaints about Jerry Heller shortchanging them. Funny thing is just about everyone that signed to ice cube has had money issues and complaints about him shortchanging them. If Jerry Heller was such a terrible person and thief then why did Dre do business with him after he left death row?

My whole perception of Cube has changed from all of these documentaries and beef dvd's that came out after the fact...he made 2 classic albums but his entire persona in the 90s was completely fradulent...he was working on his acting career before he got into movies.

Better groups than NWA have had better managers than Jerry Heller and shyt has happened. You think the Beatles management thought yoko wasn't an issue? You think DMX management just let him become a crackhead? I don't think you know what a manager is. Was he supposed to kidnap ice cube from school or physically pull Dre's dikk out of Michele'? None of those guys were millionaires because it was a 5. 5 man group and NWA wasn't going diamond and they all ran through money at a rapid pace because of their terrible money management skills. Not because Jerry was supposedly robbing them.
