I didn't, figured eBay would have better odds being national. I had run ins with FB and Craigslist in the past.

True.

Honestly even with the higher fees I'd probably still use ebay as well just bc of likelihood of a quick sell.

Unfortunately that's how legalized monopolies work.

i remember ebay used to do promos where you would only pay a fixed amount instead of a percentage. swiped a macbook n sold it for 2 racks and only had to pay $50 in fees. that was a comeup cuz it was goin for way less local

Just sold a camera for $1,750, ebay took over 12% in fees from that, the rest is to me. Then on the flip side charged my buyer tax for a total on their end for just over $1,900 total cost of the item. Ebay making a killing when you add in listing fees and what not.
then you got the rising costs of mailing shyt out :mjcry:

I don’t even understand how eBay works anymore.

Back in my day they used to bid and it started at the lowest price. Now it feels like they price is set and there is no bidding

What gives Chucky?:gucci:

The seller cans start the bid price at any amount or they can list is it as “buy it now” at a set price

eBay sucks now. If your a seller they force you to include your social security number for the IRS.
They got rid of PayPal.

Then they got rid of the strikes for the dead beat buyers that won't pay up. I could literally fukk up ur auctions and nothing won't happen to me. They only protect buyers not the sellers.

There index system sucks, ur auctions aren't live anymore. It takes about 24 hrs for ur auctions to appear for the buyers.

Pending on what ur selling, Amazon is the way to go. Alot less competitors. More traffic.

Started selling some items on eBay again and it’s some BS. Buyer bought my Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds and couldn’t figure out he needed to go in the iPhone Bluetooth menu to pair them so they filed for a return without contacting me saying they were defective. I had to message them and tell them put them in pairing mode then use the iPhone menu settings to pair them. Meanwhile eBay approved the return so fast it was crazy.

Also the final value fees are insane. It’s like 12 and a half percent. Considering Michigan sales tax is 6% reselling isn’t practical when you’re losing so much.

Selling a PS5 you bought for $700. You giving up $88 in fees and $30 in taxes comes from your profit. $83 in profit left for you. Your profit even before the sales tax loss is less than the fees you pay. Da hell anybody look like paying half the profit in fees?
