why even use it at all? why not speak proper english at all times? especially around our own people? to use ebonics, in my eyes, signifies laziness. in fact, i'd argue, it encourages laziness. it makes it acceptable. and we can't afford that, with the obstacles we face in this society.
Blacks need some type of code speak around whites. No one gets angry when haitians or jamaicans talk that talk. African Americans do it and it's being lazy or uneducated? :what:

call it unfair, but black people are harshly judged because many of us don't speak proper english. we mangle the language, and this is seen as a sign of lower intelligence, which results in discriminatory practices against us in education and employment. assumptions are made about our ability off of how we speak.

you have no idea how embarrassing it is to be on the train and having to sit near a group of blacks spewing out unintelligible gibberish that has everyone else on the train going :what: i'm there thinking :snoop: "fukk, just shut up."

how can an employer take you seriously when you engage in double negatives or submit a resume with poor grammar? and yet, this shyt is common among blacks, particularly the youth.

i guess the question is, how do we change this? what needs to be done to make sure our future generation speaks proper english and not this jibber jabber ebonics nonsense? is it just the lack of schooling? is it "cool" to speak ebonics?
By that logic arent immigrants being held back since they mangle english orally and written, friend. Please stop the filth.
