Respect to Ebro for dropping knowledge. Only thing I struggle with is...anytime I listen to Hot 97, I don't hear the B.I.C., Joey Badass, Action, I've heard Bogedga Bamz a lil.

Back in the day, DJ's and radio stations helped break artists. And yeah they doing the battle of the beats but c'mon...put the upcoming cats in rotation!
It's the biz of playing the most popular song 10 times a day because the average listener want to hear what their familiar with. Yeah I miss the old hot97 dearly but we both know them putting Joey bad ass in rotation ain't gonna help them compete with Z100 etc etc. Because that's the come nowadays

There arent even young NY nikkas waiting in the wing tho. What happens when Jay turns 60, 70... who is going to take the torch? In the South there are plenty of dudes ready to take it and the OGs are more than willing to hand it off. Meanwhile Jay and Nicki basically don't even WORK with NY artists. Jay's last song with another NY rapper was 'Star Is Born' :beli:

Im sure there are rules and regulations to the shyt. I.e. Ebro can't use the station to contact listeners for ratings.

And what spot is that?

There are young dudes in every city "ready" and willing to make it in the music biz. Why would that be different for NY?...oh it would be different because you want to blindly co-sign the south artist always unite BS and NY don't unite. For you to ignore the general grind to make it in the music biz clearly shows how much you're geeked to want to jump on the bandwagon about NY

Cash Money and Mayback are prime examples of how flawed your logic is. Dudes will continue to sign artist, but yet the majority will be mixtape rappers and ghost writers. This approach is not unique to Cash Money or Mayback because in every town there are labels trying to be bigger than OR the next Cash Money and Mayback labels

Now you're copping pleads for ebro? The nikka made a generic claim that black folks don't support the neilson ratings. But yet he gives props to combat jack crew for promoting the neilson survey, an act which he does not factor into his generic claims of black folks not supporting neilson ratings.

When was the last time any radio broadcast promoted such a survey OR when have they ever contacted folks?

So you're claiming there are not hip hop artistic spot in big ass NY? what about that gallery that Dame Dash was promoting a while ago?

So according to Ebronie, NYC Hip-Hop comes back when "bytches wants to fukk the rappers." So, the Wu, Mobb, BCC, Hov, Big, X, and Ja Rule, were look at as sex symbols, when they were moving heavy in the game:what:

And, nikkas wants to be like ASAP Rocky...rocking women clothing and shyt:camby:
