It wasnt. You can hear the teacher talking off camera. As Edgar tells the girl to "back up" and the girl responds saying the same, you canhear the teacher saying "sit down. Do i need to call someone up here?"

why are comments in this Thread defending her ?

-the girl challenges the boy saying “i’m right here”
-the boy clearly tells her to back up(twice)
-she preceded to step up into his face even more closing the distance.
- he still didn’t show aggression and responded to a joke by a classmate by waving his hand in front of his face implying her breath stunk
-she took offence and put hands on him first.

he has every right to defend himself after that point especially against someone of similar build. they look around 10-12, at that age girls shouldn’t be rough housing/fighting with boys anymore

there is a girl on my nephew’s football team, (12 year olds). she been rocking the past few years but said this year is her last season because it’s starting to hurt.
