Educate me...what has changed in the NBA that scoring is so high?

It's like whatever was going on in the bubble is officially how the league looks now. And it's not cause the 3. None 3-point shooters are putting up numbers as well.

How are the refs calling the game or what rule changes exactly have made it easier to score?

Or is it just a case of no one cares about defending anymore?

75% of shots today are bad shots 20 years ago. These dudes shot making ability are on another level.

I remember a few years back the league was cracking down on travelling and that Harden step-back or drawing fouls on 3-pointers...I guess FoM negates all that

I like the reset to 14. I don't see how that makes it easier to score. Although it does increase the pace of the game it doesn't account for Bam Adebayo begin a 30 point scorer, and all these40+ point games we're getting now from anyone really...it's not even superstars

They’ve been calling way more travels this season, but FoM has players trained now to literally stop playing defense once someone gets by you. A lot of players would rather let you score so they can come down and throw up a 3 than pick up a foul.

No real PFs among teams...PFs are now SFs who can't protect the rim, but they shoot shoot threes

More 3 G lineups

More PFs playing C

Less rim protection

Back in the day, you protected the rim & 3 pt line...defenses don't do either now

Probably for the best not to ask for @Squirrel from Meteor Man’s opinion. He has a worse track record than @Swagnificent when it comes to hoops. Whatever he says, the opposite is usually true.
