Eddie Edwards is hospitalized following an unfortunate accident at tonight's Impact Wrestling television tapings in Orlando, Florida.
Edwards defeated Sami Callihan in a singles match at the taping and was being attacked by his opponent after the match. Callihan placed a steel chair across Edwards' head and blasted it with a baseball bat, however the bat ricocheted off of the chair and nailed Edwards on the top of his head.
Edwards reportedly returned to the backstage area with a lot of blood flowing from his head, and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. We will update you on his condition as soon as additional information becomes available.

As noted, Eddie Edwards was rushed to the emergency room following a bad accident with a baseball bat during an angle at Saturday night's Impact Wrestling television tapings in Orlando, Florida.
Edwards was struck by a baseball bat by Sami Callihan and there was apparently a lot of blood shed, as well as concerns that he might be in danger of losing his eye as a result of the accident.
In an update, Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net is reporting that Edwards suffered a broken nose, a broken facial bone and several bad lacerations as a result of the incident. Doctors are reportedly under the impression that he did not suffer a concussion.
