Attempting to run a surveillance operation without it ever being brought into the public light was impossible, it's much more beneficial to run it in the public eye.. once we realize that we are being watched the conditioning sets in and we gradually accept living under a paradigm of mass and eventually constant surveillance, and we wont do shyt about it because lets be real.. we're to stuffed with high fructose corn syrup, we're to over stimulated by entertainment, and so over our head in debt that we don't got no time to think of this :yeshrug:

No matter if it was public or private surveillance, the issue is clearly not whether we're ok with being watched. Most people have nothing to hide, imo. The problem as snowden brought up a couple of times is that the laws were not set up to protect us.

You don't understand having nothing to hide is not a good reason to consent to a security state, there is no line in the sand for whats acceptable under the context of security and surveillance... i'm afraid consenting to a little now will eventually become a lot down the road. If i was to use 1984 as a measuring stick then i would say we are in the formative years of a true surveillance state.
