Glad I live a life where I don't have to pay attention to stuff like egg prices. I don't look at the price of trivial things I want like that I just put it in the cart and keep going. It's always $150 or so per Costco trip.

Reporters who obsessively monitored grocery prices during Biden's term have disappeared like Keyser Soze ever since Trump's second term started. Wonder why 🤔

Price of a pound ground beef

@JerryTurin
What's the source of the 2022 price, the ground beef blend involved, the part of the nation?

Answer: trust me.

3/37
@ebow___
When is everything gonna be lower like everyone is saying

4/37
@ChrisCoolyard
@grok what happened with Mexican beef imports that triggered these high prices ?

5/37
@GaryMichaelDoan
Democrats 20% inflation isn’t ever going away.

6/37
@jonas919
What was the price in December 2024?

7/37
@sands_sanibel
It was higher in 2024.

8/37
@PhilipJFry3024
I just bought a brisket for $4.37 per pound. I bought ribeye for $6.79 per pound two weeks ago. Pork tenderloin $1.79. Boneless skinless chicken thigh $2.25. Pork Belly $1.85.

9/37
@BrianThamm
@grok which accounts most frequently monitored and posted about grocery prices from April 2024 through October 2024?

10/37
@TimCoop59086596
It is publix...a store not known for its low prices especially in the meat department. I love Publix, but not the meat department.

11/37
@Ydennekde
The people have the power to fix this by coming together to not buy beef until the price drops. Just like we can fix current politics and improve government by all voting out politicians!

12/37
@BillJackso84822
It's $4.50 a pound today is found today in,many stores if you shop.

13/37
@lilSkeezors
Who was president from 2022 to the end of 2024?

Election is over

So they don’t need any inflation stories as fodder to manipulate the electorate

16/37
@Jerry__Grey
I mean, they skipped the years here. Wonder why?

17/37
@bqusdfkhri
It’s funny he used 2022 for this fun piece of propoganda

18/37
@Golfguy21553001
The same reason the ones that ignored it during bidens now care.

It's been 6 since like 2022.

Hey American beef and the price goes down ITS MAGIC. IMAGINE A PRESIDENT PROMOTING USA RANCHERS AND BUSINESSES. The horror. dmbss

21/37
@scottwww7
Beef is up for the fourth year in a row. Milk is down. Pork is up. Corn is down. Do you think beef keeps going up? I would sooner bet on it going down in 2026, and maybe even into the end of this year. But I am not playing commodity futures.

Because Trump has stopped it , and now trying to undo the horrible damage the autopen and Bideniski did the the country and inflation

26/37
@themiamer
On January 19th, 2025, the price of a pound of ground beef was $6.25. Trump only became president on January 20th, 2025.

27/37
@kwakzing
Who was president until 2024 again?

Trump has been president for 6 months of those 3 years.

I know math is hard, but damn my dude.

30/37
@Tigam__
They could keep saying the same things over and over, but it's not going to make the price go back down. The only way to do that is to balance the budget and stop spending more Government money than taxes brought in.

31/37
@Toms24601
Maybe it’s because you have to go scouring for examples of “inflation” while the country knows that the rate of inflation has fallen back to normal levels (still too high, it should be zero)

Just like during Biden’s (well..whoever was running the country) term inflation was out of control and literally wrecking peoples lives and idiots like yourself decided the answer was to gaslight people into thinking it wasn’t happening.

32/37
@mikesarcher
I am paying less for just about everything except eggs. Eggs here in CO are still expensive

33/37
@BabyNora6
What’s amazing is the collective amnesia of the bird flu cow slaughtering that took place last year.

34/37
@PirateOfReason
what was it in 2020?

35/37
@BlackCowsMatter
CNN report today has beef as high as $9/lb

36/37
@man75_old
It's higher than that in Floriduh 🤬

When they are using stock photos to post prices they all lose credibility.

It’s funny seeing people talk about what they pay for things at the store acting like everything is the exact same price everywhere. There was a time where you could just throw shyt in the cart and go. Man you got to be a damn expert shopping out here now. You have to go to multiple stores for one shopping trip. It’s ridiculous out here smh.

2022: Eggs prices are up 2¢!! The economy is destroyed and the American experience is over. We are all headed back to the breadlines

2025: "Egg prices are up $3"

"MAN I DON'T EVEN LIKE EGGS, STOP TRYING TO MAKE TRUMP LOOK BAD!!! 😡😡😡😡"

Remember when people pretended to care about this? Good times
Honestly food is such a negligible part of my budget, that I have no idea what eggs costed. It was news to me when people told me that it was higher during the election cycle.:manny:

I'm just learning now in this thread that the ground beef is more expensive than it was a few years ago. And I still don't really care.

Same. Why I'll never slack off in life again. Budgeting for food is miserable. I've been buying the organic 18 packs for 12 dollars. I don't mind.
