what loi
Whether someone agrees or not, they cannot front on OP for actually giving logical reasoning.

I don't care for the album anymore, enjoyed it in the beginning, knew that Kendrick wouldn't strike me the way a Cube or KRS could, and just moved on with my life.

Good post OP!

what logical reasoning? he talked more about the people he thinks like kendrick than the album itself, and what does a white dude explaining a trayvon line on rapgenius have anythging to do with kendrick or the album itself? this is the main problem with younger hip hop fans, the music is the last thing people even talk about any more.

respectfully breh, that idiot's comment wasn't even worth the response

Thats all fine and cool but in a forum full of trolls and dikkriders i try to be as objective as i can and engage nikkas in discussion cuz good dialogue is always welcome but that shyt came off as a stan defense mechanism

"That buck that boughta bottle couldve struck the lotto"

Off the top of my head

Dont try to shyt on certified legends to justify or big up someone still fresh in the game smh
how is that "meaningful" tho? instead of drinking, piss away your money on lottery tickets? :mjlol:

we're talking about black empowerment here breh -- Nas' later works touch on this, Illmatic was a lyrical spectactical while not saying shyt.

meaningful and dope rhymes that sound good are two different things.

Nas wasn't saying much on his first album. Kendrick hasn't said anything on any album

Quayle Calls for Pulling Rap Album Tied to Murder Case
September 23, 1992|JOHN BRODER | TIMES STAFF WRITER
COLLEGE STATION, Tex. — Vice President Dan Quayle, broadening his attack on Hollywood, Tuesday blasted the recording industry for producing rap music that he said had led to violence.

Quayle called on the Time Warner Inc. subsidiary, Interscope Records, to withdraw the album "2pacalypse Now" by rap artist Tupac Amaru Shakur from stores. Quayle charged that the record was responsible for the death of a Texas state trooper, who was shot to death in April by a suspect who allegedly was listening to the album on the tape deck of a stolen truck when he was stopped by the officer.

Ronald Ray Howard, 19, is being held on murder charges in Edna, Tex., in the death of Bill Davidson, 43, who was shot after pulling Howard over to issue a traffic ticket.

The trooper's family has filed a civil suit against Shakur and Interscope, claiming the record's violence-laden lyrics incite "imminent lawless action."
