I can tell INSTANTLY when he's the one writing/producing the song, vs the other debarges or some other producer. He has like a signature chord pattern and melodies.

I tried to get into his solo albums but they just didnt do it for me, didnt have that same soul he had in the 80s. Wish he recorded way more material during this time period. 'All this Love' is a top 10 love song for me, shyt is epitome of black music
