I got elden ring. Just finished my 4th run (on a new save for the ps5 pro) and it still hits the same. There’s so many ways to play the game with different builds, the amount of hours you can get off one purchase really makes it the goat game imo.

B3 tbh I haven’t found the time to finish it in multiple restarts it hasn’t grabbed me like that. I do appreciate the game but the difference is Elden ring is a goat game with no story, it’s just gameplay. B3 is the opposite where the story and narrative is everything than the actuall gameplay itself

E33 I never tried so can’t speak on it. The ascetic does not grab me at all it’s a game I have no interest in

I think I was feeling FromSoft fatigue so I never ran back Elden Ring after finishing Erdtree. I still enjoyed the experience and it was dope figuring out shyt as everyone played and shared.

BG3 for me, I thought I was going to hate the combat but after it all began to click around getting to the Grove? No turning back :wow:

I agree with you but i don’t think BG3 is overrated due to its scope alone. There’s not another role playing experience in gaming that really gives you that level of freedom with that level of production, it will never be outdone.

Witcher 4 is next up and those games are barely rpgs anymore

I mostly agree with you there but what are you referring to when it comes to freedom? Narratively? Gameplay? From a gameplay standpoint it is pretty varied but from a narrative standpoint there are other games that achieve freedom of choice to a similar degree IMO

I just think overall it’s a great game that starts very strong and ends a tad weak by the last act. Funny enough, DOS2 which Larian released before it had very similar issues with its last act

I think Elden Ring, even though I hate those fukking type games. But BG3 made the that nerdy, theatre kid energy ass TTRPG a hot commodity. Gamers are hungry for more DnD media. All future crpgs will be compared to BG3, the way they were to Dragon Age before Bioware suicided their style in the sequel.

The irony of all of it considering BioWare made BG1 and BG2 lol

From the games mentioned, none. The correct answer is Redfall. Dont @ me. :pachaha:

Never played BG3, not my type of game. Between the other 2, probably E33. Because Lune and OST slaps. :wow:

I put 295 hours into "Elden Ring", beat it multiple times, etc.

I wouldn't even put it in the discussion. It's essentially open world "Dark Souls 4".

I know this isn't a popular opinion so I don't see many agreeing with me but :yeshrug: I gotta keep it real.

Out of the three I'd say "Baldur's Gate 3" just off the freedom of gameplay alone.

Fred.
