They don't like the RPG mechanics because that is what actually makes Souls games challenging.
The RPG mechanics make it so you have to strategize and actually maximize your equipment and approach to combat within your build. Otherwise Dark Souls would just be a dumbed down DMC without the jump feature. The enemies in the Souls games are some of the most fairly balanced enemies you can find in a game, none of them feel cheap... well excluding Dark Souls 2 that game was just goofy. If the game is extremely hard to you, you need to learn the mechanics and learn how to play the game. Bloodborne took all that out and turned it into a hack n slash game to make it more accessible to everyone, and what do you know the easiest and most casual and accessible game is the most popular one.![]()
I actually find sekiro to be way harder than dark souls. A lot of times you can kind of power level and find stronger equipment and brute force your way through bosses where as sekiro you’re just kind of stuck in an endless rhythm game.
BB is kind of in the middle

at you beating these mufukkas in 4, 5 tries brah I fought the bloodstarved beast legitimately at least 40 times before I got it right over like 2 days
