They don't like the RPG mechanics because that is what actually makes Souls games challenging. :russ:

The RPG mechanics make it so you have to strategize and actually maximize your equipment and approach to combat within your build. Otherwise Dark Souls would just be a dumbed down DMC without the jump feature. The enemies in the Souls games are some of the most fairly balanced enemies you can find in a game, none of them feel cheap... well excluding Dark Souls 2 that game was just goofy. If the game is extremely hard to you, you need to learn the mechanics and learn how to play the game. Bloodborne took all that out and turned it into a hack n slash game to make it more accessible to everyone, and what do you know the easiest and most casual and accessible game is the most popular one. :mjlol:

I actually find sekiro to be way harder than dark souls. A lot of times you can kind of power level and find stronger equipment and brute force your way through bosses where as sekiro you’re just kind of stuck in an endless rhythm game.

BB is kind of in the middle

That is exactly why Sekiro is not that challenging. It is only challenging if you suck at fast twitch games or can't get the parry system down. Bloodborne and to an even greater extent Sekiro are basically action games permanently set on their hardest difficulty (think Ninja Gaiden permanently set to Master Ninja mode). The challenge in those games were always front loaded to me, once you figure out their parry systems the game became methodical and much easier with every encounter.

You can brute force your way through certain bosses in Dark Souls, but you aren't about to brute force Sister Friede or Dark Eater Midir or Ornstein and Smough. I beat the shyt out of Ludwig my first try fighting his ass. A lot of people quit BB at Father Gasconne and I beat him first try cause he is easy as fukk to parry and telegraphs everything. Matter of fact out of the DLC bosses in BB, only Lady Maria gave me any trouble.

Idk I guess maybe it's because I've never been terrible at action games, but BB and Sekiro never were that difficult to me. Dark Souls had the RPG elements to keep it the combat weighty and realistic and satisfying, after a certain point in time in BB of leveling up enough your just button mashing.

Sekiro > DS > BB in terms of difficulty imo

Sekiro is the only one which forces you to play the game exactly as it requires you to, if shyt isn’t working in the others just switch it up

I agree. Plus you can’t call for help or farm and over level your health in Sekiro because beating the bosses is required first

Yeah, you better learn to parry, no tag team or ranged spells to help you this time

Orphan of Kos didn't give you any trouble breh :comeon:

Lol but you right tho Souls is harder than BB by a long shot. I think your under selling Sekiro a bit though but for the most part I agree

Not really. Beat him on the second try I'll give him that much it did take me more than one try. Lady Maria is the DLC boss that gave me the most trouble. She took me 5 or 6 tries I believe.

I actually had the most trouble with Shadow of Yharnam

The non-optional bosses of souls games aren’t that hard.
