Not really. Beat him on the second try I'll give him that much it did take me more than one try. Lady Maria is the DLC boss that gave me the most trouble. She took me 5 or 6 tries I believe.

@Gizmo_Duck they said progression is kinda linear for the main path. Essentially the main bonfires will show the direction of the next main bonfire if you wanna play it like traditional FS

I actually hope it's not BOTW freedom because when you do that people don't take the time to really learn the ins and outs of the game, they get lazy and skip entire segments and then write the game off.

It didn't happen in BOTW because it's Zelda, but every other game that has that aspect about it, this happens.
