I wonder if you can do the botw thing and head straight to the last boss

I wouldn’t bank on it, since they usually like to let you see how far you’ve traveled throughout their games (like vistas showing you where you came from). The journey is the focus rather than the destination, where Zelda you always know your #1 objective from jump, even before you play the game

I actually hope it's not BOTW freedom because when you do that people don't take the time to really learn the ins and outs of the game, they get lazy and skip entire segments and then write the game off.

It didn't happen in BOTW because it's Zelda, but every other game that has that aspect about it, this happens.

Ppl were barely fw Ganon with the guardians and kitted out, they not tryna see this last boss at SL1

Its only a bad thing if you expected something other than dark souls. From the way they described it i already knew what to expect, open world dark souls. That was enough to sell me on it.

Despite all the dark souls clones out now there is still nothing like an actual Miyazaki game experience. You can really only get that once every few years

I get a big ass grin on my face every time I see some footage it’s rare a game perfectly aligns with everything I want, and this is well on its way to delivering so far.

I don’t get on hype trains anymore, and I’m not giving them all praise on this one until it’s running on my PC, but I’m straight up a fan of FS, they unabashedly revere Zelda

“If there are similarities, they probably stem from the fact that The Legend of Zelda became a sort of textbook for 3D action games.” It’s funny how certain games become shining examples of their genre and never seem to be topped in terms of innovation.

As for the comparison, Miyazaki added, “When I was a student, The Legend of Zelda was truly monumental. So to be perfectly honest, I feel deeply unworthy of the comparison.”

And now it’s looking like they perfectly mixed their bag in with my favorite game ever

ive seen enough, going dark till February. Will not seek out any guides or help till The culmination of the main journey. This is a game to get lost in it looks like

I really do think this is gonna be the “breath of the wild” for dark souls games. I think it might not be the prettiest game but its gonna add so much to the open world formula that i know other open world games won’t. There’s gonna be a lot of secrets and things to discover under every nook and cranny.

This is the type of game where people are gonna be still finding new stuff years later

From software has improved on their formula with every release though, especially from DS to Sekiro. Elden Ring looks like a culmination of all these efforts
