Elder black people advice unappresheaytion

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I cannot take the advice of most 30+ year old black people seriously. Their """""advice""""" is always something obvious like 'stay in school', 'don't do drugs', and 'dont have any babies until you have a job'. My favorite bit of """""advice""""" is 'dont get a credit card, it will ruin your life' as if I'm going to be a complete dumbass and use a credit card to spend money that I don't have or wont have any time soon. Even 30+ old well off suburban black men are on some bullshyt sometimes.
So who do you take advice from?
I was telling my mom I was getting a cc to build credit, and she goes
ohhh no bayybay don't get no credit card, you can wind up in a situation where you owe a lot of money

people that are a few years older than me(mainly juniors, seniors, or and recent graduates), my parents, my paternal grandfather, and a neighbor that I've known all my life.

Take advice from smarter folks with more experience than you. They will almost always be older.

honestly, the way i learned on how to go about things, is to observe other peoples failures, which is why im in a great position right now at 19
i took note of how dumb most of the old broke folks moved, the mistakes, and i did the complete opposite
now im on my way to #YRN status

Advice? No one had any to offer me. I had to figure everything out on my own.

On some real shyt though I can't stand older folks 60's 70's 80's now that's old,they have no idea what the fukk is going on and always on some back in my day shyt. I will never say fukk back in the day because there are lessons to be learned from the past .See I'm old enough where I seen it all(Technology era) and studied from the mishaps of the past. So when I do become a elder a real elder I'm gonna put muthafukkas on instead of being bitter constantly.
