If this isn't a wake up call nothing will be. If that storm happened in literally any other state, most of the power would have been back on in a matter of hours. No one would be hit with outrageous surge prices either. This nonsense is a uniquely Texas problem and I do not support bailing them out. This is the government they chose, after all. If they want better...join the US grid and regulate your utility companies.

its really not totally unprecedented , they had one or two storms, i think in 2011 i read they were thinking about regulations. also its kind of dumb to be like well, fukk any freak accidents, lets roll the dice. its like our healthcare system and covid. same shyt. nothing in this unfettered capitalism can handle even the slightest inconvenience without completely collapsing. all so a few rich people can make even more profit. its dumb af . people plan for so called unforeseen things for a reason
