Elections: 1. Americans universally reject what Trumps doing 2. Americans are idiots who allowed him to get elected to do exactly what he's doing

COVID. Thats a once in a century crisis. Without COVID he was going to win again.
My guy if he was some super political force then his co sign would mean something.

In a Head to head slection right now Obama would clean his clock.

Yes he appeals to ultra rich and ultra poor people but against a non women he loses.

I think Obama could win head to head, but not sure about getting his clock cleaned. Also, bear in mind that the next presidential election is in 3 years. Alot can change between now and then. Who knows what the situation will be then.

And my whole point is that he only wins when his name is on the ballot. I'm not saying his co-sign is all mighty - it's clearly not. Just that he himself secures his own victory because of his fanatical followers.

I'm saying that nothing succeeds like success, So Trump ensures that he doesn't lose even when he doesn't win.

Look at Venezuela the average american is kinda for zapping "drug" boats they ain't for an Invasion so he won't do it.

Look at Snap he said he wouldn't fund it then his Press secretary said it would be funded. That's L's desguised as non L's

The main thing people like about donnie is his ability to be mallable and to turn on a dime.

Red-State Americans aren't intellectuals and that's a reason why the Blue coastal cities have always been bastions of innovation and progressive thoughts in the USA, we foster intelligence, Red States forgoe such ideals.

I don't think that dichotomy is useful. Every election cycle, there are 'Red States' that go 'Blue' or vice versa (like Michigan in 2024).

American society has been fostering anti-intellectualism for decades. Ranging from elites like Donald Trump saying that he, "loves the poorly educated" or poor people in Blue States making fun of their peers in high school for doing well in school. Besides, how many people on this forum or that you know in real life said that the COVID vaccine was bad for people? Or that think vaccines cause autism?

As well, politicians (regardless of their political affiliation) have been going after university funding and academic independence for various reasons (anti-Zionism, anti-socialism/Marxism etc.).

Anti-Intellectualism is on the Rise in America

Ehh. I'd like to think this but there just weren't enough elections in enough places for me to think these results are all that meaningful.

People "rejected what Trump is doing" in 2018 but he still eventually got reelected again and only barely lost the swing states in 2020. Not to mention the voting rights act is about to get overturned and Republicans are going to gerrymander up 10+ additional guaranteed House seats.

I don't see much cause for optimism.
