That's a factor in states close to them that pull electricity from their grid. But also buried in this bill that passed a lot of grant money that was allocated for green energy etc was rescinded. It's going to lead to higher bills for a lot of folks around the country

If you really want to save , unplug stuff you're not using daily that's using juice , tell you girl to not leave all the lights on in the house . See if your utility company has a time of use metering & use the cheapest time to wash & dry your clothes . The biggest users of electricity is a microwave, electric stove , toaster & air conditioner
