It sounds good on paper, but I don't see this happening. Everybody has a right to clean running water & electricity, but if we made those utilities free, folks would start wasting it. Plus, we gonna always need people to perform daily maintenance on these power plants, and they don't work for free.

Electricity is already ludicrously wasted in the west and water usage I doubt would go up much.

It'll never be free but the fee paid should ideally be the collective fronting of the cost. Enough to maintain and employ people and not a single penny being pocketed. That's more attainable.

But America has duped its own citizens that greedy corps can handle their basic necessities better than it can. These corps artificially increase rates when power constipation goes down. shyt's wild.

Waste is already overly abundant in 1st world countries so that's no valid reason.
