I think for what they are trying to do Payton was the right pick...They wanted a PG not a lead guard like a Smart....I can't knock it.

Noooooope. The Sixers drafted Payton because they knew Orlando wanted him(they deny it but Orlando was working him out a lot). It was a risk but anyway, the Sixers got back Saric, 2015 2nd round pick and Orlando's 2017 first round pick.
